Complete Self Contained Tape Enhancement System
The Image Enhancement System is a completely integrated system designed for applications requiring video tape enhancement and processing. The Image Enhancement System is completely configured and ready for use. It is housed in a two-section durable Lucite plastic case for portability.

The heart of the Image Enhancement System is the OEI Video Tape Enhancement Unit. The Image Enhancement System improves images recorded in low light or backlit situations. The system can also be used in an in-line position with a multi-camera switcher that can switch to a single camera for enhancement.

The Image Enhancement System is configured with a powerful line of high quality components.

Items can be purchased separately.

MODEL 905

MODEL 906

In addition to all the components and housing in the 906, model 909
includes the added feature of an extra processor . This will allow a
double in line enhancement or provide a subtract and overlay feature
used in comparison forensic.
The OEI imaging systems are unique in that we enhance live video as well as enhancing video tape. This real time operation is not a computer based system. The 905, 906, and 907 systems do not use digital extrapolation or guesswork for enhancement, but take faintly recorded data nd make it visible to the human eye. The OEI system's method of enhancing a video tape has been used in finding judgment of guilt or innocence before a fair court.

OEI set a precedence in one court case when a shooting taking place in February of 1997 resulted in a murder conviction in 1998 by the Maricopa County Attorney's office. Within twenty-four hours of the shooting, OEI enhanced the video tape that held the suspect. As a result of that enhancement, the shooter is serving a life sentence.

The OEI systems enhance and re-record in full motion. However, with a jog shuttle it will allow the view to walk through a frame at a time. This re-recorded, enhanced tape can and has been accepted in court.

After you have re-recorded the video you may wish to take the recorded tape and enhance it a second time. This technique will allow a double enhancement of the original information. Either way the systems are not changing data, but simple taking faint data and making it more visible to the human eye.

These OEI systems can be used in conjunction with live camera video, or a switcher that has many cameras. These cameras are usually affected by outside light, even though they are inside a facility. An individual camera can be selected from the switcher and that camera can be fed into the OEI system. Enhancement can then be performed on the live signal.
